Speeding Pickup Truck hits Fairfield Fire Truck on I-95

Fairfield firefighters were responding to an accident on I-95 around 4:30pm this afternoon when a pickup truck came speeding towards them and crashed into their fire truck. The incident occurred at the crash site near Exit 22 on Sunday evening. According to reports, the driver of the pickup truck lost control of his vehicle and collided with the fire truck. Fortunately, no firefighters or passengers were injured in the collision, but the fire truck sustained significant damage. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and is currently being investigated for reckless driving. The Fairfield Fire Department has urged drivers to exercise caution and slow down when passing by accident scenes.
