Fairfield Native Designs Clothes To Support Mental Health Awareness

Here For You Clothing, a clothing brand that promotes mental health awareness and empathy, held a grand opening for their Pop up shop at 1215 Post Road Suite on Wednesday. The store will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m, throughout November and December.

Ellie Haney, a 25-year-old Faifefield resident and the founder of Here for You Clothing, was inspired by her personal mental health experience. In the midst of the pandemic, she channeled her darkness into creative energy by designing fashionable and purposeful clothing.

Years of conversations between Ellie and Managing Partner and Emma Kilbride resulted in the phrase “Here for You.” These two have been great friends for years, bonding over mental health challenges and always being there for one other.

Customers can buy neutral and pastel-colored hoodies, crewnecks, sweatpants, and tee-shirts with the phrase “here for you” stitched or printed on them. Every piece of clothing developed is intended to spark open dialogue and remind us all that we are all not alone. In the past year, the team has been traveling to college campuses, high schools, and organizations all over the US, spreading the message that it is OK to not be Ok.

A part of Here For You Clothing’s purchases are contributed to numerous mental health organizations each month, including Hope For The Day, The Trevor Project, and NAMI.
