Fairfield Police are looking into anti-Semitic and racist graffiti At Park

FAIRFIELD, Connecticut — Antisemitic, racist, and homophobic graffiti was spray-painted earlier this month at Sandcastle Playground on South Benson Road in Fairfield, one of two recent instances of vandalism under investigation by the Fairfield Police.

Crews cleaned up the written vulgarities shortly after they were discovered on Oct. 14.

Officers discovered expletives painted in black spray paint on the playground, These expletives were directed toward the African American, LGBTQ+, and Jewish communities, with an additional image of male genitalia.

Apart from the playground incident, there were two more acts of vandalism on  Benson Place. Paint was poured onto the countertops, walls, flooring, and appliances inside of two homes that are currently under construction.

Investigations are continuing.
