Sweet Tooth Alert: Donut Crazy Opens in Fairfield

The seventh location of the Connecticut-based donut chain Donut Crazy opened its newest location in Fairfield at 2385 Black Rock Turnpike. The company has locations throughout the state.

With names like Kookie Monster (hints of bright blue and plenty of Chips a Hoy cookies), S’Mores doughnuts paired with a mini Hershey bar, cannoli doughnuts, and maple bacon doughnuts, the “crazies” represent a new breed of decadent food.

The “Daily Donuts” are the classic flavors you might expect to find at any donut shop. So what sets these apart from others? I’d have to say freshness. Since I have been eating Donut Crazy’s donuts for a few weeks now I notice a difference if I grab a donut at another donut shop.

Donut Crazy also serves breakfast items like egg sandwiches and burritos, avocado toast, a BLT, cheeseburgers, and grilled cheese sandwiches sandwiched between two glazed doughnuts.

Even the youngest members of the family will enjoy the on-tap drinks, which include chocolate and plain milk. In addition, there’s cold brew coffee and tea, fresh orange juice, coffee (Sharewater Coffee has developed a special breakfast blend for Donut Crazy)

The Fairfield Donut Crazy shop is open Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
