Patricia Mae Repko (Patty), 77 Obituary

Patricia Mae Repko (Patty), age 77, of Southport, the loving wife of Robert Repko for over fifty-six years, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Born in Bridgeport to the late Charles and Edith Rogan, Patty grew up in Fairfield with her siblings attending Roger Ludlowe High School. She was an Assistant to the Librarian at the Fairfield Children’s Library.

In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by her loving daughter, Missy Repko of Southport; her two sons, Jeffrey and his wife, Jessica of Cheshire and Robert L. Repko of New York City; and, her granddaughters, Sydney and Riley Repko

She is also survived by her brothers Charlie Rogan of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Jim Rogan and his wife, Tillie of Pensacola, FL and her sister Sharon Wilcox Harcarik and her husband, Robert of Honolulu, Hawaii, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Rene Gibbons, and her brother-in-law, Joe Gibbons.

Patty’s true calling was that of a caregiver. Whether it be her sister with cancer, her mother with Alzheimer’s or the many children she nannied for, Patty loved and cared for them with all her heart. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughters Sydney and Riley. When people commented on how she spoiled them, she always responded, “Children don’t spoil, only food spoils.”

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the wonderful team at Mozaic Adult Day Program. The love the team shared for Patty and the family will forever be remembered. They treated Patty with dignity and respect and encouraged her feistiness that all knew and loved her for. The family is forever grateful.

Friends are invited to greet her family on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 4-6 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home 50 Reef Road in Fairfield followed by a service at 6:00 p.m.
