Barbara Westerman, 93, Of Fairfield : Obituary

Barbara Westerman, 93, entered into eternal rest on September 27th at her home in Fairfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore N. Westerman. She was born in Bridgeport on September 5th, 1930 to the late Warren and Ruth Parcells.

She began working as a secretary at G.E. in Bridgeport and then became a full-time mom in Easton, CT. She was an active volunteer with the PHNA, 4H, and the Girl Scouts in Easton. They moved several times in Easton as Ted decided to build houses as a hobby. She took loving care of her special needs son, Kenny, for 20 years. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Kenneth S. Westerman. She is survived by her three other children: Ted Westerman (Paula), Gwen Easdon (Dave), and Pamela Drake (John); six loving grandchildren: Maxine Figlar (Steve), Kieran Nelson (Sean), Kristen Vasquez (Miguel), Jason Easdon (Ashley), Jack Drake (Katerina), and Joe Drake (Caitlin); and five great-grandchildren: Alex Nelson, Warren Drake, Brierly, Makayla and Kylie Vazquez. She is also survived by her sister Corrine Barnaby, son John (Cheryl), brother-in-law Robert Larnick, and son Bob (Amy).

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, October 2nd, 2023 from 10:30 to 11:30 am with a service beginning at 11:30 am at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, with burial to follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery.
